Hibbathullah Farook was born on 12 October 1981, in Hemmathagama village, Mawanella election constituency (Polling Division) of Kegalle district. He was educated his primary education at Badubiya Muslim Maha vidyalaya and higher education at Zahira College, Mawanella.

Due to the achievements at the national level and involvement in the field of sports during his school age led him to start his social and political activities during the year 2000. As a result of active action in politics in his early age, he had fully engaged himself in the general election held in 2001 to make their party a resounding success in the Kegalle district.

Since his early years, Hibbathullah farook had involved himself in plans for the uprising of the nation and region, of Hon. Kabir Hashim, who had been the Member of Parliament and the chairman of the Kegalle district. In his young age he has been an active activist in his regional politics.

From his early age, Hibbathullah Farook has aimed to carry on a long journey in business and he had continued his tertiary and higher education in business field (BSc in business management). Later he stepped to a Middle East country, Qatar and started his business.

Since then, he had started his business dealing with the businessmen not only in that country but also internationally leading businessmen and today he is the head of an internationally leading company.

As he had been in the main positions including president and general secretary in many organizations at the village, divisional and national levels; he is able to understand and work according to the status and needs of the community.

As like business, Hibbathullah farook is with long-term political goals too, especially in Sri Lankan politics. Still his political and social tasks are continued under the guidance and leadership of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya District Leader Hon. Kabir Hashim, which is aimed at Kegalle District politics.

Hibbathullah Farook has been appointed as the secretary of the Muslim affairs of the Kegalle District by the District Leader Hon. Kabir Hashim. Further Hibbathullah Farook is carrying out his social works through the organizations of Hibbathullah Farook Public Service Center and HM Foundation.

The above-mentioned organizations that are targeted the sector of livelihood, education, medicine and sports, which is in their first stage with advancing centralized projects mainly targeted Kegalle District.
